An idyllic mountain hut experience near the city. The Lanser Alm mountain hut is an ancient, renovated stone cabin that is home to a cosy and welcoming dining area and a lovely terrace. The hut is small and offers spectacular views of the Nordkette mountain range, which rises up over on the other side of the city. The Swiss stone pine interior makes the hut feel comfortable and welcoming, the traditional tiled Austrian stove provides cosy warmth on cold days. The Lanser Alm is the perfect destination for hikers and mountain bikers. As you would expect, it serves delicious dishes such as dumplings and other alpine specialities.

The shortest hike to the Lanser Alm starts at the mountain lift station at Patscherkofel and takes just 20 to 30 minutes. The hut, which is located at an altitude of 1,718 metres above sea level, can also be reached from the village of Lans. The route from the start of the hike, which is located just outside the village on the Römerstraße road, takes approx. three hours. The hike from Igls via Heiligwasser also takes three hours. The Lanser Alm features a perfect combination of tradition and modern: the ancient stone hut has been renovated and now boasts traditional alpine charm while also being perfectly equipped to meet modern demands.
