Opening Hours

The BRUX / Freies Theater Innsbruck has been enriching cultural life in Innsbruck since 2012. Located at the heart of the city centre (directly next to the Landhausplatz square), the venue hosts up to 200 cultural events every year. Its performances range from spoken plays and theatre for young audiences right through to dance, literature, contemporary circus performances and music. What's more, the theatre, which is above all known for its shows covering a variety of genres, is also used as an exhibition venue.
BRUX shines the spotlight on the diversity of contemporary theatre productions and experimental artistic explorations of topical social issues. The programme also features a specially promoted and funded series of events, the "VORBRENNER", which introduces particularly innovative interdisciplinary concepts to the cultural landscape of Tyrol. The VORBRENNER is a hub for development, research and experimentation.
Both the BRUX and the VORBRENNER are funded by the City of Innsbruck and the State of Tyrol.
