Forecast

After this nice day, the weather is still in a good mood today! In the morning, we will have to deal with low stratus over the valleys and plains, but fortunately it will dissipate quickly giving way to plenty of sunshine.

Tendency

On Thursday and on Friday, the weather will continue, initially. Only on Saturday some bigger banks of clouds will move in. But on Sunday, the nice autumn weather will return.

The "Wilder" carnival character

Fasnachtfigur "Wilder"
Fasnachtfigur "Wilder"
6410  Telfs

Opening Hours

During the Schleicherlaufen parade, which is a carnival custom held every five years in the town of Telfs, the "Wilde Männer" (Wild Men) have the special task of maintaining order and creating space for the "Schleicher" characters. The fearsome figures are wrapped in garments made of long, shaggy tree lichen and wear gnarled wooden masks. At the centre of the roundabout on Obermarktstraße road stands a larger-than-life, aluminium-cast "Wilder" created by the sculptor Bernhard Dietl.
