The green district in the south of Innsbruck

Wilten is not only known for its history and culture, but also as a green recreational oasis. Directly at the Bergisel at the ski jump, several paths lead into the Sill Gorge, where you can discover so many things - but above all find a nice contrast to the city.

Tip: Can be ideally combined with a visit to the museum Tirol Panorama or the ski jump!

Panorama round at the Bergisel

Ideal for those who have a few hours and want to get out into nature without necessarily having to unpack the hiking boots or master many meters of altitude. Okay, there are a few, but they are worth it, I promise!

The panorama loop at the Bergisel starts directly behind the museum at the large parking lot. Before that, you should make a short detour to the pavilion at the Kaiserjägermuseum. The view of the city is particularly beautiful here!

But it really starts at the parking lot. On a narrow path you walk through the forest first to the Viewing platform Drachenfelsen. Through the lattice on the ground you can see directly into the Sill Gorge - you better not be afraid of heights! If you are, you can enjoy the view of the architecturally exciting form of the platform simply with solid ground under your feet.

Continue on the gravel path around the Bergisel and to the legendary ski jump with stadium. Below the stadium across the road you then reach the Tirol Panorama again and thus the starting point of the panoramic tour.

Do not forget your camera! The view from here of the city and the Nordkette is impressive every time.

Those who have now become hungry can either stop at „Restaurant 1809 am Bergisel“ or walk a few minutes longer in the direction of the city to take a seat along the way, for example, in the green guest garden of the giant Haymon.
