Café Schindler

An extraordinary story spanning two centuries, two world wars and a family business.
The legendary Café Schindler returns to the stage of the Tiroler Landestheater in 2026! Founded in 1922, it quickly became the vibrant social hub of Innsbruck – until the Nazis arrived. It is a story of expropriation and expulsion, of the Holocaust in Tyrol. This deeply moving stage adaptation of a family history takes the audience on an emotional journey of discovery, bringing to life the story of the Jewish people under the Habsburg Monarchy.
In cooperation with the Jewish Community of Tyrol and Vorarlberg, the Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum, the City Archives / City Museum of Innsbruck, and Das Schindler
