There are many stories, myths and legends existing about the Mieminger Schatzstein. Mysterious incidents made the pine forest above the Mieminger Mooswiesen to a mysterious area.
The most famous legend is about the treasure of stone:
Under the boulder in the middle of the pine forest is a great treasure buried. Only a virgin can raise the treasure if she comes to the stone at night dressed in a shirt and raises a lighted candle in her hand. She may not extinguish the candle and say a prayer. This is the only way the Virgin can move the stone as if by magic to the side.Perhaps you are well disposed to the spirits and you will find the treasure!
