This route leads through the villages of Axams, Birgitz and Götzens to the west of Innsbruck. This easy summer hike is an ideal way to explore the area. The route passes a multitude of nice places where you can take a break or stop in for a bite to eat. There is a large playground for children.

The route starts from the village square in Axams and leads past Omesmühle and along the Hohe Birga archaeological trail towards Götzens. Hikers pass a pilgrimage church and continue through the village of Birgitz to the playground at the Liftstüberl restaurant. The hike ends at Axams leisure centre, not far from the starting point, and takes about two and a half hours.

Forecast

On Wednesday, we will be under the influence of an easterly airflow. But instead of sending us very cold and dry air, as is common at this time of year, we will receive old air masses from the Mediterranean. They are humid, but not humid enough to produce significant snowfall. Our weather will therefore continue to be very cloudy and snow flakes will be rare.

Tendency

In the next few days there will be mostly dry weather with changing clouds. It's getting milder.
