A hike to the Rauschbrunnen mountain hut

This hike starts at "Marktgraben" bus stop in the centre of Innsbruck. From there, you take the A bus to the stop "Sadrach" and then head uphill to the left towards the Buzihütte mountain hut. From the Buzihütte, the route zigzags up through the forest to the Rauschbrunnen mountain hut at an altitude of 1,100 metres above sea level. There, you can stop for a break and a bite to eat before heading back down a different way: follow the forest road to Höttinger Bild chapel and then continue downhill along the Bildstöcklweg trail to the Planötzenhof restaurant. The bus stop for line A is just 5 minutes from the Planötzenhof.
Our tip: It is well-worth making a short stop at the Höttinger Bild pilgrimage site. This small mountain chapel is located next to a fountain in an idyllic spot in the forest.
