An easy hike that starts in the district of Mühlau in Innsbruck and follows a forest trail to the Rechenhof alpine guesthouse, where a wonderful sun terrace invites hikers to relax and enjoy. From there, there are two routes to Hungerburg, neither of which have any major climbs. The first option is to take the hiking trail, the second option is to follow the easier forest road.

If you would rather not walk back, you can take the Hungerburgbahn funicular. It stops right in Innsbruck city centre.
