From the Zirmbachalm mountain hut, follow the Alpenverein route no. AV 153 to behind the "Wasserschloss", the surge tank water facility on the Klammbach stream that feeds the Längental reservoir. From there, follow the well-marked Alpenverein path no. AV 152, as it leads slowly but constantly uphill through alpine meadows. At the halfway point, you will come to a junction for the Rietzer Grieskogel – keep left. Shortly before the ridge, you will need to cross an extensive but unproblematic scree field.

Forecast

High pressure has declined to such an extent that turbulence will be able to penetrate into our region. These disturbances are going to be so weak, however, that they will only bring clouds and no showers.

Tendency

Sunday and Monday will probably be quite unstable and it will be colder.

On Tuesday, a new high pressure area will dominate the weather. It will bring us sunshine and fairly mild temperatures, particularly on the mountains.

The high pressure area will probably persist until Friday.
