The ascent begins to the left of the P8 car park at the end of Zirl on trail no. 50. The route first leads to the Zirler Mähdern, a beautiful alpine pasture area with magnificent views. The route continues to the chapel at Hörbstenboden, where the path branches off to the Kirchbergalm.
From here, a pleasant forest path leads further uphill, past picturesque clearings and through dense forests. After a varied ascent, you finally reach the Neue Magdeburger Hütte at 1,633 metres, which invites you to take a well-earned break with hearty Tyrolean delicacies.
After a cosy rest and enjoying the impressive view, you return to the valley along the same route. This hike combines varied landscapes, magnificent panoramic views and a cosy rest stop - a perfect destination for anyone who wants to enjoy nature and a mountain experience!
