This hike leads to a stop at the Westfalenhaus and offers a varied route through the impressive mountain landscape of the Sellrain Valley.
From the car park in Praxmar, first follow the path to the south, which is well signposted for the ascent to the Westfalenhaus. The trail leads above Lüsens through the picturesque Schöntal valley before meeting trail no. 141, which leads up from Lüsens. From here, continue westwards on a wide path into the Längental valley, where you will reach the Westfalenhaus after around three hours - an ideal place for a cosy rest with a mountain panorama.
There are two options for the way back:
The same route back to Praxmar, ideal for those who want to enjoy the beautiful landscape from a different perspective.
Variant via the winter path: Descent via the winter path on the valley floor to Lüsens and from there via the forest path back to Praxmar. This route offers a varied alternative with a gentler descent.
