The small museum in Igls
A small museum is located on the first floor of "Haus des Gastes" in Igls. The museum features objects excavated from the Goldbichl archaeological trail including finds from the Bronze Age and Iron Ages, a nativity scene with hand-carved figures and traditional "Huttler" carnival costumes and masks, as well as a winter sports exhibition.
The winter sports exhibition gives a small overview of how winter sports have developed over the decades in Igls. The exhibits were all once owned by winter sports athletes from Igls and were collected by Mr. Wolfgang Platzer Senior (snowsport IGLS). Some are only on loan and were provided specifically for this exhibition.
Mr Wolfgang Platzer is happy to provide further information and give guided tours of the winter sports exhibition on request.
Public toilets are also located at the "Haus des Gastes".
The entrance to the museum is located at the back of the building on the first floor.
