Mountain bike tours for e-bikes

Up the mountains by bike: What used to be reserved for mountain bikers with legs of steel is now within reach for everyone. E-mountain bikes make it feasible to access numerous destinations that previously required a very high level of fitness. This means you can enjoy a ride to the most beautiful mountain huts and picture-perfect views. The ride is still not completely effortless. But it is only moderately strenuous compared to riding uphill using pure muscle power. The battery support opens up brand new biking territory: the mountains around Innsbruck where you will find delicious alpine delicacies and alpine views: lush green alpine meadows, dark green forests, chirping birds and the freshest air in the region.

This panoramic eMTB ride is a circular tour that connects the most popular mountain huts to the southwest of Innsbruck, at the beginning of the Stubai Valley.

During the course of the ride, you pass the Muttereralm, the Raitiser Alm and the Kreither Alm. The tour is a treat for the taste buds thanks to the local food served at the Mutterer Alm and the Kreither Alm (the Raitiser Alm is not open to the public) and the views are a real sight to behold: the route leads through stunning landscapes with views of the Wipp Valley, the Stubai Valley, Patscherkofel mountain and the Tux Alps.

The constant, steady climb up to the Muttereralm at the start of the tour requires a good level of fitness, but you can cut a lot of it out by taking the Muttereralmbahn gondola instead if you would prefer. Once you've completed the climb up to the Muttereralm, you can enjoy a more leisurely ride to the Raitiser Alm and the Kreither Alm. After replenishing your energy levels, the route continues down into the valley towards the Stockerhof. Just before you reach the Stockerhof, the route turns right and continues past the Telfer Wiesen meadows, Kreith and Raitis back to Mutters.

Highlights:

Great views throughout the tour. The panoramic views of the Stubai Alps that you get from the Telfer Wiesen meadows onwards.

Arrival, public transport

Parking is available at the bottom lift station of the Muttereralmbahn gondola or you can take the STB tram (the Stubaitalbahn) to the stop "Mutters Nockhofweg".
