Wilten Boys' Choir
The concert, given by the Wilten Boys' Choir (Wiltener Sängerknaben) with their clear, high voices, heralds the coming of spring and celebrates the season of Eastertide. On Good Friday they are performing as part of the Osterfestival Tirol when, in the Congress Innsbruck, they will sing Johann Sebastian Bach's St. Matthew's Passion, a work that musically meditates on the suffering and death of Christ as told in the Gospel of Matthew. The St. Matthew Passion is one of the most revered works of sacred music. The Wilten Boys' Choir's poignant and expressive interpretation is guaranteed to provide an emotionally stirring experience.
