The Mittergrathütten mountain huts are located 42 km from Innsbruck at an altitude of 2,000 metres above sea level, on a clearing in the middle of a stone pine forest, not far from the winter sports resort of Kühtai and at the exit of the “Mittertal” high alpine valley.
Driving to the huts is not possible. A fenced car park is located just off the main road to Kühtai, the Kühtaier Landesstraße. From there, your luggage can be transported up to the huts using a transport cable car. Depending on fitness levels, the walk up to the huts can take 15-30 minutes. The path is 3 metres wide and has a maximum incline of 18%.
