Enjoy the feeling of freedom from 14 December 2022 to 30 April 2023 with our guided active programme. Snowshoeing and winter hikes and cross-country skiing excursions – all the tours are free with a Welcome Card, which is our free guest card provided with a stay of at least 2 nights at selected partner hotels and accommodation providers. A special extra to top off your winter holiday!

Snow crunches underfoot, white trees line the path and a wonderful view of the mountains is waiting just around the next bend. This is our active programme. Fabulous tours ranging from easy, to intermediate to challenging: accompanied by our qualified mountain guides and easy to book online. Simply click on the respective image to see the tour description and booking options. You can get to the starting point for almost all of the tours for free on public transport. We say for free because, as with the hikes, this service is included for Welcome Card holders. If you want to travel to the start of the tour by car, some of the hikers' car parks are also free with a Welcome Card.

The perfect destination for everyone

Are you travelling with children? Many of our winter hikes are great for families. Are you looking for something a bit more sporty and challenging? You can find that here too. Join our guides and discover some of the most beautiful places in the region. It includes various winter sports that can be enjoyed away from the pistes, including winter hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. You can take part in the tours featured on this page for free with the Welcome Card. Prior registration is required, as is cancellation if you can't make it. This is important for organisational purposes and to ensure the other tour participants don't have to wait around unnecessarily.

Are you only interested in certain sports or do you only have time on a certain day? Here you will find the perfect tour to meet your needs. Simply select the relevant options to see a list of your personal favourites. Then choose the perfect tour for you and book it directly online.

Our guided active programme promises many wonderful experiences and adventures, but winter in Innsbruck has even more to offer. How about visiting one of our festive Christmas markets during Advent, for example? Or enjoying the combination of city life and fun on the slopes at one of the nearby ski resorts? On ski-free days, you may want to try our Walks to Explore and discover some of the lesser-known corners of Innsbruck. Not to mention the many culinary highlights, spa and wellness experiences, places to relax and the city's bars and nightclubs. Everything is possible!
