"Let's celebrate!" – a whole day devoted to music. Artists from the Festwochen family will bring the Hofgarten to life with sound. The musical stage, where we celebrate music, our artists, and our loyal audience, is our gift to everyone. This day unites what can usually be heard across the city throughout the summer: Concerto mobile, lunchtime concerts, the blue hour, and opera – all performed outdoors and free of charge.
New worlds of sound unfold again and again, through changing instruments, ensembles, and unexpected musical encounters. Here, you’re not only invited to listen but also to explore early music in all its rich variety. It will be a celebration of encounters, timbres, and the international diversity of early music.
In the afternoon, as your gaze drifts through the canopy towards the nearby mountains and beyond, evening invites you to turn your attention to the screen, where a recording from the Festwochen 2025 will be shown: "Ifigenia in Aulide" by Antonio Caldara.
