For the 31st year in a row, Leokino + Cinematograph invite you to a cinematic summer highlight in Innsbruck: from 1st to 31st of August 2026, the courtyard of the Zeughaus will once more be transformed into an atmospheric open-air cinema. Every night in August, you can watch a different film with a most special festival atmosphere under the night sky.
This year’s programme combines highlights from the past year’s premieres with timeless classics and extraordinary discoveries. The films on show are perfect for catching up, revisiting and rediscovering – ranging from award-winning arthouse cinema to impressive documentaries for sports and nature enthusiasts.
We are particularly looking forward to cinematic highlights such as Otto Preminger’s RIVER OF NO RETURN, the classic political thriller ALL THE PRESIDENT’S MEN starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman, and Tarsem Singh’s visually stunning masterpiece THE FALL. With THE WIZARD OF OZ, we are also bringing one of the most famous films in cinema history back to the big screen. Promising another very special open-air cinema moment is FATHERLAND, the new drama by Paweł Pawlikowski, which recently won an award at Cannes. This year’s programme will once again be brought to a close with a masterpiece by cult director Jim Jarmusch; his iconic vampire film ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE.
As the organiser, Leokino is once again focusing on an enhanced cinema experience in 2026: In collaboration with the Tyrolean State Museums, selected films will feature a guided museum tour ahead of the screening. Additionally, there will be food and drinks, as well as Live Music on the weekends.
Tickets:
Advance sales: €10 (until the day before only).
Box office on the night: €12 (available on the day of the screening at the Leokino and at the open-air venue).
TT Club members: €10 (also at the box office).
Open-air 5-ticket booklet: 5 vouchers for €50, available only in cinemas and redeemable at box office. With a 5-ticket voucher, you can go straight into the Zeughaus and skip the queue. Vouchers are transferable and valid only for 2026.
Free choice of seating, no seat reservations!
Open-air tickets are valid as IVB tickets in Innsbruck (core zone), including the Nightliner, for 1.5 hours before and after the screening.
The nonstop cinema subscription is valid.
The Kulturpass is not valid.

Venue opens 1.5h before screenings.
The screenings take place whatever the weather.
