A wonderful hiking destination and a great starting point for a wide range of mountain tours in the "Ruhegebiet" protected area of the Kalkkögel mountains. Axamer Lizum's Hoadl Bahn 10-seater gondola lift runs up to the "Hoadlhaus" restaurant and offers visitors the chance to enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of the Kalkkögel mountain range, also known as the "Dolomites of the North". Also the Birgitzköpfllift double chairlift will be in operation.

Axamer Lizum is home to well-marked hiking trails (60 km), magnificent natural and panoramic attractions, extraordinary summits and challenging rock climbing routes, as well as lush alpine meadows, tranquillity and originality.

The trails welcome all kinds of visitors, from Nordic walkers and power walkers to experienced mountaineers who are drawn to the area time and time again thanks to its exceptional alpine character. The various lifts such as the Olympiabahn funicular and the Birgitzköpfllift chairlift take you up the mountain in comfort. This is certainly the easiest and most convenient way to explore the Axamer Lizum mountains in summer and is particularly popular among families with children.

A weak ridge of high pressure will bring us a rather nice day in the middle of this long-lasting period of bad weather.

It will be clear to cloudy. With the air washed clean by the rain of the last few days, the sun will be even more intense.

At this point, we would prefer to forecast that high pressure will persist, but unfortunately this is not the case: The next area of low pressure will approach causing showers.
