This Olympic mountain located south-east of Innsbruck boasts views of over 400 peaks. It hosted the Winter Olympics in 1964 and 1976 and the Youth Olympic Games in 2012. The mountain is also home to an alpine garden managed by the University of Innsbruck that invites you to get to know the local alpine flora. It is the perfect starting point for hikes along the Zirbenweg trail towards Glungezer mountain and there are also many mountain huts where you can take a break and enjoy a bite to eat.
