La montaña local de Innsbruck, el Patscherkofel, ofrece numerosas oportunidades para disfrutar de la nieve en invierno. Hay una ruta panorámica señalizada con raquetas de nieve hasta la cima, magníficas rutas de esquí de travesía en pista y siete refugios alpinos, albergues y restaurantes de montaña. La zona de descanso en la cumbre también ofrece una vista especial. A la estación del valle en Innsbruck-Igls se puede llegar en autobús urbano (linea J).
