Innsbruck's local mountain, the Patscherkofel, offers numerous opportunities to enjoy the snow in winter. There is a signposted panoramic snowshoe route to the summit, great piste ski touring routes and seven Alpine huts, lodges and mountain restaurants. The lounge area at the summit also offers a special view. The valley station in Innsbruck-Igls can be reached by city bus (line J).
