Forecast

It is amazing how persistent the low pressure has been over Central Europe, recently. A new area of low pressure will extend to our region from England. The clouds will quickly increase from the north and may produce rainfall at times.

Tendency

„If you wait long enough, the weather you want will eventually come around”. This old Japanese saying will finally come true. The morning will still bring a few clouds but soon the sun will shine from cloudless skies once again!

From the city centre to the largest nature park in Austria in just 20 minutes! The breathtaking 360° views with Innsbruck on one side and the Karwendel Nature Park on the other are sure to leave a lasting impression.

The modern Hungerburgbahn funicular takes you from the historic old town to the Hungerburg district, via the stop for the Alpine Zoo, in just eight minutes. From there, you cross Hermann-Buhl-Platz square, which is named after the world-famous Austrian mountaineer, and continue to the lift that runs up to the Seegrube. The Seegrube is located at an altitude of 1,905 metres above sea level and attracts daring mountaineers in summer and winter alike. Thanks to the direct connections to the city, everyone can also continue up to the Hafelekar – an absolute highlight at 2,300 metres above sea level with impressive panoramic views and natural alpine surroundings.

The culinary highlights also go above and beyond at the Nordkette, where there are plenty of delicious treats to discover. At Restaurant Seegrube, guests can enjoy traditional delicacies and culinary delights that leave nothing to be desired.

The Nordkette is never boring thanks to the colourful events calendar with highlights year round: from Friday evening rides and jazz brunches to a traditional, three-week autumn festival.

Forecast

Today’s weather forecast starts with really good news: Central Europe will fall under the influence of the Azores High today! However, this process will take a bit of time as it is a very large area of high pressure we are dealing with here. We should therefore not expect a cloudless or particularly warm day.

Tendency

The new area of high pressure is building directly over the Alps and will not move anywhere for quite a long time.
