On 15 March 1947, Zarah Leander spends her 40th birthday alone and abandoned at the remote Lönö estate in Sweden. The Nazis’ great diva has been cast out and is out of work. The telephone, which used to ring incessantly, remains silent – yet the voices of the past grow louder. On a musical journey through her life, she looks back with sharp wit and without scruples on her career, which she bought by turning a blind eye to politics. With this solo performance, which tells the story of a woman torn between art, world events, her own hopes and her responsibilities, the versatile Tyrolean actress Brigitte Jaufenthaler returns to the TLT, accompanied on the piano by the renowned musician Christian Wegscheider.
