Children-Beginners

Some smaller slopes and children's lifts invite you to play in the snow. These include, in addition to beginner lifts in the classic ski areas, the Kinderland Grünberglift or the Sonnenberglift in Gries.

Archenstadllift Rinn

The Archenstadllift Rinn is an ideal ski area for children and beginners who want to try their first turns on skis. Open daily, the Snow & Fun Park offers a variety of obstacles specially designed for children. A modern snowmaking system ensures the best piste conditions throughout the season. Night skiing: A special highlight is night skiing, which takes place every Friday from 18:00 to 21:00. Thanks to a powerful floodlight system, the piste remains perfectly illuminated even in the evening and ensures unforgettable skiing fun after dark. The ‘cool’ Total ski school is available for anyone who still needs support. The ski instructors help with the first turns and are available for registration directly in Kinderland Rinn. After an eventful day of skiing, the Liftstüberl Archenstadl at the valley station invites you to enjoy a cosy break. From lunch menus to traditional home cooking and homemade cakes, everything is on the menu and invites you to savour it. Getting here is very easy: the Archenstadllift is located at the western entrance to Rinn. Free parking is available directly at the valley station or you can travel in comfort on the 540 bus route.

Kids Area Nordkette

Take the kids straight from the city to the piste: It takes just 20 minutes to get from the centre of Innsbruck to the Seegrube to the Kids Area on the Nordkette - a true paradise for little winter sports fans and beginners. A magic carpet, a 400-metre-long practice slope, a snow hill and free fun sports equipment hire await here, providing plenty of fun in the snow. If you want to learn to ski, you can sign up for private lessons at the Innsbruck ski school. Tip: Thanks to on-site ski and equipment hire, it's easy to hit the slopes. Important: Check the Nordkettenbahn website in advance to see if there is enough snow! Finally, the sun terrace of the Seegrube restaurant invites you to relax - at 1,905 metres above sea level, families can enjoy not only the snow but also a breathtaking view.

The Kinderland children's area on the Grünberg

The Grünberg children's area in Obsteig is a true paradise for families in the middle of a fantastic winter landscape. The Grünberg lifts, including a T-bar lift, open up easy to intermediate slopes and are therefore ideal for children. While the little ones playfully gain their first experience in the snow in Kinderland, beginners will find the perfect terrain for their first turns on the gentle slopes. In addition to skiing, there are also numerous other winter activities on the Grünberg. Tobogganing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking and ski tours make the area a versatile destination for all those who want to enjoy the snow-covered nature. After an eventful day, the cosy Grünberg Alm invites you to relax, while the children can let off steam in the adjacent adventure playground. The traditional Schaber ski school, which can look back on over 40 years of experience, offers professional lessons for beginners and advanced skiers. In addition, the free Winteraktiv bus ensures a comfortable journey - for locals and guests alike. webcam Tariffs

Sonnenberg ski lifts

The platter lift and magic carpet at the Sonnenberg lift in Gries im Sellrain are the ideal choice for children and beginners who want to learn to ski in a fun way. Located right at the entrance to the village at an altitude of 1,200 metres, the clearly laid out terrain offers the best conditions for first turns in the snow. Thanks to the ski bus stop in the village and a car park right next to the lift, getting here is particularly straightforward.  Opening times can change slightly depending on the snow conditions, so it is advisable to check the current conditions in advance.
