When the mountains are within touching distance and the city is celebrating, it’s Bergsilvester. Innsbruck bids farewell to the old year with a lively atmosphere in the city centre, great music, a wintry ambience and a unique blend of urban life and alpine scenery. Bergsilvester gets underway as early as 11 am with a cosy morning pint in the Old Town. From 3.30 pm, the New Year’s Eve Run provides some sporting highlights. As darkness falls, the city transforms into one big open-air party: from 9 pm, the party in front of the Hofburg invites everyone to celebrate, dance and toast the New Year together. Musical highlights are provided by Eric Papilaya & The Good Vibe Tribe and DJ In-Style. For anyone who wants to keep the party going, the fun continues straight after the open-air party at SILVESTER BEATS in the Dogana at the Congress Centre.
