The Peter-Anich-Hütte alpine hut is located south-west of Innsbruck at an altitude of over 1,900m, and is a popular yet challengingdestination for mountainbikers and walkers. The ascent on foot will take about 3 hoursfrom Pfaffenhofen or Rietz (1 hour from 'Grüne Bank'). For a real challenge, try walking from Stams via the Kreuzjoch to the hut; a route requiring 7 hours on foot.
Upon request, the hut can offer overnightaccommodation for 15 people. Many further hikes and peak climbs are possible from here, such as to the Dortmunder Hütte in 5 hours, the Rietzer Grieskogel in 3, and the Hocheder in 3.5.
Open daily from mid-June to mid-September.
