A beautiful hike in Axamer Lizum to the Birgitzer Alm mountain hut with its stunning views.
The hike starts from Axamer Lizum car park and leads past the bottom lift station of the Birgitzköpfllift chairlift, following the edge of the forest towards the Birgitzeralm (signposted Butterbründlsteig), before climbing gently uphill through the forest to the beautifully located Birgitzer Alm mountain hut (1,808 m). From there, you can hike on to the neighbouring huts in Götzens, Mutters and Kreith or continue up to the Birgitzköpflhaus mountain hut in Axamer Lizum.
