The Hungerburg cable car or bus line J takes you comfortably up to the Hungerburg, a magnificent vantage point overlooking Innsbruck. From here, the hike begins along Gramartstraße towards Gramartboden - a popular local recreation area where you will also find the cosy Gramarthof farm. A special highlight for families: there is a lovely children's playground at Gramartboden that will delight young hikers.
From there, a pleasant forest path without any major inclines leads to the Höttinger Bild pilgrimage church, a quiet and contemplative place in the middle of the forest. The route then leads downhill, and the Planötzenhof farm nearby offers a wonderful opportunity for refreshments with regional delicacies.
The trail continues downhill to the Innsbruck Schlotthofweg bus stop, from where you can easily start your journey home. From here, bus line A takes hikers directly to the city centre, or you can cover the short distance on foot.
