This hike starts at the parish church of St. Martin in Gries and follows the road to Obermarendebach. From there, it joins a forest trail to the Grubachhöfe farm buildings and then continues to the Sellrain districts of Duregg and Perfall before entering the forest again and following the trail to the Pilgrimage Church of St. Quirin. The route back down to Sellrain starts 20 metres past the church and follows the Kreuzweg trail.

This "Path of Reflection" leads past countless farms and viewpoints, as well as many other wonderful places where you can stop to enjoy a relaxing break. At the end of the Kreuzweg trail, turn right to follow the road for a short distance and then left onto the road that leads downhill to the districts of Ausserzehend and Obere Grube. From there, head diagonally downhill to the south and away from the entrance to the valley to the Church of St. Anna in Sellrain. The same route then leads back to the starting point.
