Forecast

After the dying cold front that brought us clouds yesterday, a weak high pressure area will reach us today. The weather will stabilize, but it will not be very sunny yet. After the last snow flakes in the morning, it will brighten up in the late morning. It will stay dry until the evening.

Tendency

During the next few days, our weather will remain changeable: Temporary sunny spells will alternate with periods of thick cloud and showers.

Nordkette Freeride Area

Freeriding with city views

Freeriding in the city! The Nordkette is part of Innsbruck despite the fact that the Hafelekar is located almost 2,300 metres above sea level at the entrance to the largest nature park in Austria, the Karwendel Nature Park. On one side lie rugged mountain peaks, on the other magnificent powder. For experts, the Karrinne is a real highlight: with a gradient of 70 percent, it is one of the steepest runs in Europe.

Ride down towards the valley with stunning views of Innsbruck. Along the way, why not take a stop at the Seegrube? It is located 1,900 metres above sea level and features a fabulous sun terrace. There is also a restaurant, a party igloo and the Nordkette Skyline Park, which is the world's only "in-city" snow park and home to countless kickers, rails and obstacles.

Some Facts:

  • Right in town!
  • Exposure: S
  • 9,2 km of ski routes
