This page will give you some ideas for ski tours in the region of Innsbruck. A great way to get a wonderful insight into the wonders of winter, especially under good conditions. These are, of course, only suggestions, as the final responsibility lies with the tourer to inform him or herself about current conditions before setting out.
Ski touring is a sport in which the risks should never be underestimated. We cannot accept any responsibility for snow conditions, avalanche risks and other outside influences. Every ski tourer is responsible for their own adequate avalanche protection and should check all current conditions with Tyrol's Avalanche Warning Service.
At the parking lot below the valley station of the Muttereralmbahn the signposting for the ski touring route starts. It first goes half-right past the valley station of the Mutteralm lift. The route continues along the slope until just above the middle station. Turn right into the old drag lift route and follow the signs to the top station of the Muttereralmbahn. The walking time is one and a half to two hours.
The ski slopes of the Muttereralm are only open for ski tourers at certain times!
The slopes can be accessed from Monday to Sunday from 9.00 am - 5.00 pm and Wednesday from 9.00 am - 10.00 pm on the designated ascent track.
The parking lots of the Muttereralm Bergbahnen are subject to a fee for all. The daily fee is € 10.00. Cable car users of the Muttereralm Bergbahnen will be refunded the fee at the ticket office of the cable car.
For tourers there is also another paid parking lot available at the Freizeitzentrum/leisure centre Mutters (Birchfeld 52, 6162 Mutters). The daily fee here is € 4.00.
