A ridge of high pressure brought an improvement in the weather on Wednesday. It will, however, not persist against a new area of low pressure approaching from Iceland! ”From Iceland” does not sound very good and is not very good! A large cold front will move into our region causing thunderstorms which may be quite heavy.

Tendency

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday we will still feel the effects of the last low pressure area. The weather will be unstable and showers and thunderstoms may form at any time.

Nordkette

The Freeride Lounge above the City

Skiing at the Freeride linge with a view over the city; the Nordkette is the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation. This ski area rises impressively behind the Golden Roof, and is simple to reach from the city centre via the Nordkette cable cars. It's the perfect place for lying back on sun loungers at 2,000m above sea level, or for that first attempt on skis. For freeriders, it's pure adrenaline along the Karrinne with it's 70 degree gradient.

Happily, the tough measures in place over the last few weeks have been successful. Thanks to a reduction in infection rates, some facilities, shops and accommodation providers are now able to reopen. This page shows which accommodation providers, shops and cultural sites are open for visitors.
