The start of the Finstertal trail can be reached by taking the Drei-Seen-Bahn chairlift or via the Dreiseeinrunde three lakes circuit. The route leads downhill past the Drei-Seen-Hütte mountain hut to the Finstertal reservoir. From there, a small path meanders along the bank of the reservoir and into the valley. The undulating path and incredible views make this section something really special. As soon as the trail starts to turn away from the water, you have reached the end of the route and should turn around and follow the same path back.
