A low pressure area is sending air from Eastern Europe to the Alpine region. This air is so humid that clearer spells will be rare and most likely occur in the afternoon. It will not be humid enough, however, to produce any significant precipitation.

Tendency

On Sunday, the weather will be bright. In the days that follow, weather fronts will come. It will therefore remain quite cloudy, it will snow at times and the temperatures will continue to rise.

On the trail of the Romans to Matrei am Brenner.

This route starts in the village of Igls and heads up towards Patsch, passing the "Grünwalderhof" former Thurn-und-Taxis postal station, before continuing along the quiet Römerstraße road with its wonderful views of the Europabrücke bridge and the Stubai Alps. The route continues via Ellbögen and the districts of St Peter, Mühltal and Innerellbögen, towards Pfons and Matrei.

Worth seeing along the way:

Patsch: the Parish Church of St Donatus

St. Peter: the Parish Church of St Peter

Innerellbögen: Hinterlocher Mill (milling demonstrations every Friday from the end of July until the beginning of September)

Matrei: the magnificently-decorated townhouses and taverns

Forecast

Meteorologists particularly like their job when it comes to forecasting a sunny winter day!

After a cold morning, the sun will blaze down all day from a blue, cloudless sky.

Tendency

At this point, we would prefer to forecast that high pressure will persist, but unfortunately this is not the case: The next area of low pressure will approach causing first clouds then showers.
