Our Welcome Card in summer

There are three versions of the Welcome Card available. Two are provided at no extra cost by your accommodation provider and depend on the length of your stay. With a stay of two nights, you receive the Welcome Card. With a stay of three nights or more in the Innsbruck region, you receive the Welcome Card plus, which includes even more services and benefits than the basic version. 

A paid upgrade is available to convert your Welcome Card into a Welcome Card unlimited. The Welcome Card unlimited is valid as an entry ticket for several additional top highlights in Tyrol, beyond the borders of the Innsbruck region. 
All of the various versions of the Welcome Card are available from selected partner companies. They are highlighted as Welcome Card partners in our accommodation list. Please check before arrival to confirm if your accommodation provider is a Welcome Card partner.

NEW in 2020: the Welcome Card with public transport

Getting around is easy during your holiday, even without a car! Public transport in the Innsbruck region are included with the Welcome Card, you don't need to buy a ticket. This applies to transport connections between the individual villages in the region and the city of Innsbruck, as well as public transport within the city of Innsbruck itself. The Welcome Card is also valid on regional ÖBB trains in the Innsbruck region. Please note, the Sightseer Hop-on Hop-off bus and the Hungerburgbahn funicular are not included.

The Welcome Card plus includes additional discounts and free journeys on selected lifts and cable cars. The following table provides an overview. For more detailed information, please see our brochure: simply click on the link to the document below.

The Welcome Card unlimited is available from 1 June to 30 September 2021.

Experience Tyrolean tradition at one of the Gundolf family's captivating Tyrolean evenings. In summer 2020, you can enjoy an evening full of dancing, music and yodelling for free with your Welcome Card or the Welcome Card unlimited.

New: Welcome Card unlimited

Unlimited holiday experiences are practically guaranteed with the Welcome Card unlimited. It gives you all of the benefits of the free Welcome Card as well as access to top attractions outside of the Innsbruck region. The Welcome Card unlimited is valid during your stay for seven top activities in Tyrol. The card is available with a stay of two or more nights and can be purchased for an additional charge of € 65 from participating partners or our tourist information centres. The card is valid for the duration of your stay. 

  • Requirement: a valid guest card (= Welcome Card or Welcome Card plus, available with a minimum stay of two nights at a partner company)
  • Child price: 50 percent discount for children aged 4 to 14

James Bond was here. And he still is. Visit the exhibition located 3,000 metres above sea level where various scenes from the movie Spectre were filmed. A James Bond world with interactive high-tech galleries has been created inside Gaislachkogl mountain. Ultimate action! Austria's largest outdoor leisure park attracts action fans to the Ötz Valley from all over the world thanks to its selection of over 35 different sports spread over a facility that covers ​​nine hectares. A small example of what's on offer: rafting, canyoning, a 20,000 square metre Water AREA, a high ropes course, western Austria's only wakeboarding facility and much more. Tratzberg Castle

This castle is like a fairy tale come true. History is brought to life at Tratzberg Castle thanks to the virtual reality audio guide tours for adults, which are available in eight languages. For children there is a fun fairy tale tour with an audio guide.

The Stubai Glacier

A fascinating glacier experience just 45 minutes away from Innsbruck by car. The ice grotto on the Stubai Glacier provides exciting insights into the eternal ice. Equally fabulous are the views from the TOP OF TYROL summit viewing platform located 3,210 metres above sea level. Children can let off some steam in the Mammoth Adventure Playground and the Stubai Glacier is also the starting point for numerous hikes, mountain tours and glacier tours. Achensee boat trip

Admire the green waters of Lake Achensee and the stunning landscape around it: there's a reason why Lake Achensee is called the most beautiful fjord south of Norway. Aqua Dome

Tyrol's largest thermal spa: pure relaxation across 20,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor pools. The thermal water from the Ötz Valley is a blissful 36 degrees Celsius. The complex also includes a spacious sauna area with ten different saunas and steam rooms. Marvel at the diversity of crystals in the "Chambers of Wonder" and find glittering treasures in the world's largest Swarovski shop.
