Mötz is a typical Tyrolean village in the Inn Valley and is located on the road up to the sunny Mieming Plateau. The pilgrimage church of Maria Locherboden stands proudly on a hill high above the village. Mötz is half an hour away from Innsbruck by car.

Pilgrimage church of Maria Locherboden

This church is a religious pilgrimage site and also a popular destination for holidaymakers. The vaults and walls are decorated with paintings. A night pilgrimage with a candlelight procession is held there once a month, from May to October. This event gives you an insight into the mystical side of the neo-Gothic church while you enjoy wonderful panoramic views over the Inn Valley.
