THE LARGEST SKI RESORT NEAR INNSBRUCK
Only 19 km away from Innsbruck, a high alpine winter landscape with 9 lifts and around 40 km of perfectly groomed slopes. The new 10-seater gondola lift with two sections transports our winter sports enthusiasts from the car park to the highest point of the ski area - the sunny Hoadl plateau at 2,340 m - in just 6 minutes. There you will find the panorama restaurant Hoadl-Haus with the largest covered sun terrace in Austria and a unique view of Innsbruck, the Nordkette and the Zugspitze as well as the imposing peaks of the Kalkkögel - the Dolomites of North Tyrol.
Due to its high altitude and extensive snowmaking, the Axamer Lizum is one of the most snow-sure winter sports areas in Austria and is not called the "white roof" of the Innsbruck Olympic region for nothing.
Skiers or snowboarders, racers or pleasure skiers, freeriders or slope fliers: there is something for everyone in the Axamer Lizum; and if perfectly groomed slopes are not enough for you, you can head to the varied snow park - the Golden Roofpark - or increase your adrenaline level in the extensive freeride area.
The latest ski and board models can be rented directly in the new shop at the valley station of the Hoadlbahn. Your own winter equipment is kept safe and dry in the ski depot.
