The ski tour to the Grünberg is a route with an altitude difference of approx. 459 metres and is ideal for beginners. The ascent is via a former ski piste and offers pleasant, not too steep terrain.

The starting point of the tour is the car park at the valley station of the Grünberg lift in Obsteig. From there, the route initially heads right along the disused piste steadily uphill towards the top station of the old ski lift. If you prefer a more varied route, you can alternatively ascend via the forest path to Zwischensimmering and from there turn left onto the Grünberg. Once at the top, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Mieminger Plateau and the surrounding mountains.

The descent follows the same route as the ascent via the wide and mostly easy piste back to the car park.
