This moderately difficult MTB route (No. 5005) follows a well-maintained and steadily ascending forest road from the Axamer Bach dam (983 m) to the Axamer Lizum parking lot at 1,550 m. The route runs south of Axams and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountain landscape along the way. The return follows the same path.
About halfway through the tour, there is an opportunity to stop for refreshments at the Lizumalm or the Jausenstation Schafalm.
The Axamer Lizum parking lot is also a good starting point for further tours in the region.
