Opening Hours

The Adambräu brewhouse in Innsbruck was converted in 2003/2004 and has become a place dedicated to sharing and preserving architecture. The building, which was originally a brewery, is now home to the "aut. architektur und Tirol" architecture centre. The brewing room with its large brewing kettles was redesigned to preserve the former structure. The room that was home to the large bottom holes for the brewing kettles was extended and now has a large glass wall with far-reaching views of Innsbruck's train station facility. The holes in the floor have been covered but are still visible. Today, the rooms are used for exhibitions, lectures and events organised by aut. Architektur und Tirol.

The former brewhouse of the Adambräu Brewery is just a short walk from the main train station. It was built in 1926 by famous Austrian architect Lois Welzenbacher.

Architects (renovation): Rainer Köberl, Thomas Giner, Erich Wucher, Andreas Pfeifer, 2003/2004
