From the car park at the Fagslung roundabout, head south and follow the Almenweg trail to the Aldranser Alm mountain hut. After about 10 minutes, you will pass a new residential area before continuing through beautiful farm meadows to the start of the forest. Follow the Almenweg trail up to an altitude of around 1,300 metres. When you come to a crossroads, take the path that turns off to the left. This is the old route that takes you to the hut in about 30 minutes. (The hike can be extended to include the Sistranser Alm and Lanser Alm mountain huts)

Follow the same route back or take the trail that leads past the Rinner Alm mountain hut and down to just before the village of Rinn at an altitude of approx. 1000 metres and then follow the Speckbacherweg trail to the Aldranser Almenweg trail and back to the starting point.
