Enjoy a hike in the largest nature reserve in Tyrol, the 730 m² "KARWENDEL NATURE PARK". The Rum section of the nature reserve is home to a hiking area with around 45 kilometres of well-maintained and well-signposted hiking trails, and has held Tyrol's official quality seal for hiking trails (the Tiroler Bergwegegütesiegel) since 1999. The Goetheweg trail is particularly recommended. This panoramic route has been awarded the title "Bergweg mit Auszeichnung" (mountain trail of excellence) thanks to its special natural beauty and its exemplary layout, maintenance and signposting. A large car park is available for our hikers free of charge.
Our special hiking tip: visit the Rumer Alm mountain hut and enjoy wonderful views of Innsbruck from the south-facing terrace, while replenishing your energy levels with delicious alpine specialities. The hike starts at the Karwendel car park. The ascent takes just under 90 minutes.
