Sports & family paradise in a romantic village setting
The neighbouring villages of Mutters and Natters are traditional communities that promise twice the holiday enjoyment. Nature, authenticity, variety and a family-friendly attitude complement the diverse range of recreational activities and opportunities for cultural discovery. Just seven kilometres from Innsbruck, the villages offer a unique combination of down-to-earth village charm and outdoor adventures, at the foot of Saile mountain yet close to the city. Innsbruck – the Capital of the Alps – is easily accessible on the romantic “Stubaitalbahn” (STB tramline).
Don’t forget to allow time for refreshing swimming fun in between all of the mountain adventures, untouched nature and exciting sports on the Muttereralm. The Natterer See lake and the outdoor pool in Mutters offer the perfect combination of stunning natural settings, water fun and refreshing relaxation.
Summer in Mutters and Natters
Summer holidays - adventure guaranteed
Mutters and Natters are located 800 metres above sea level, far above the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Precious days await you here…
days that will never be forgotten. In a place where families come together and where nature is experienced with all of the senses.
Mountain adventures on the Mutterer Alm and on the proud Saile, which rises up 2,000 metres into the blue summer skies, have many wonderful surprises in store.
The fascinating “magic waters” in the adventure park and the crystal-clear reservoir offer wonderful refreshment surrounded by pure nature. These adventure hotspots can be reached on foot via one of many hiking trails, for example the Innsbrucker Almenweg that also takes you past many stunning panoramic viewpoints.
Mountain bikers can ride along the forest paths to the Kreither Alm, Mutterer Alm or Götzner Alm mountain huts.
Whether on foot or by bike – the charming mountain huts dotted along the hiking and mountain bike trails are a wonderful place to take a break and enjoy a cool beer with hearty Tyrolean specialities.
The revolutionary “Mutterer Mountain Carts” offer a fun and speedy way to get back down into the valley – where the Natterer See lake awaits with its children’s entertainment programme, TOPI Kids’ Club and 5-star Natterer See campsite. These are all experiences that turn adventures in nature into a holiday highlight for the whole family.
Vibrant tradition. Strong culture
When the aroma of freshly baked bread from a traditional bakery demonstration fills the quaint village streets with their pretty church squares and picturesque country houses, you’ll get a taste of what life was like in times gone by.
Atmospheric parades, traditional festivals, lively “Tyrolean evenings” and open-air concerts inspire conversation, dance and truly special encounters – encounters with a culture that has preserved its very essence. Fun and educational farm tours in Mutters or at the famous Nattererboden enthral children and adults alike. In the winter months, visitors can enjoy the window nativity scenes, when over 30 varied and lovingly-arranged nativity scenes are displayed in the windows of the village’s many beautiful farmhouses.
