Telfs is located in such a convenient spot that it is easy to reach from every direction. The town is about 30 minutes away from Innsbruck by car. This is a place where history and tradition merge with modern features and influences. The sports centre in Telfs is home to international competitions, leisure activities and numerous events. For swimming or a sauna session, visit the Telfer Bad. Or check out the shops at the two shopping centres in Telfs, the Inntalcenter and the Telfspark, as well as the selection of other retailers and specialty shops.

Many more sports await in the area around Telfs, from hiking to winter sports. However, customs and traditions are also very important here. The "Schleicherlaufen" in Telfs is one of the largest and most traditional carnival customs in Tyrol.

The "Telfer Bad" swimming pool

This modern family swimming pool is open year round for swimming fun and sauna sessions. There is a 50-metre pool for training and swimming lengths, as well as a 91-metre-long water slide – a big highlight with great corners, speed sensors, fun lighting and sound effects.

Bergstation: a bouldering & climbing centre in Telfs

The Bergstation Climbing Centre offers extensive facilities for sports enthusiasts. Climbing fans of all ages and ability levels are welcome – for training, a workout or fun social climbing. The centre has a total climbing area of 1,300 square metres, including 700 m² for bouldering and 600 m² for lead climbing.

The "Schleicherlaufen" carnival traditions in Telfs

The Schleicherlaufen parade in Telfs is one of the largest and most traditional carnival customs in Tyrol. The event is held every five years and has even been granted UNESCO intangible cultural heritage status.
