Later in the day, you can enjoy varied events, a great party atmosphere and impressive firework displays on the centrally located market square and high up on the Nordkette mountain range.
Party in the city centre
The centre of Innsbruck becomes a party destination from 9 pm. Live music, culinary delights and colourful shows create a great atmosphere on the streets. At midnight, the Strauss waltz “The Blue Danube” is played according to Austrian tradition. Don’t be surprised if everyone suddenly starts waltzing around you – that’s all part of the Austrian New Year’s Eve celebrations. At the same time, firework displays by the River Inn and high up at the Seegrube fill the night sky with sparkling lights.
Congress Innsbruck offers clubbing to welcome in the New Year. The dancing starts at 11 pm to the sounds of international DJs and live acts.
New Year’s Eve on the Nordkette
Celebrate New Year’s Eve with stunning views of the city from 1,900 metres above sea level. The party location: “Cloud 9” – an igloo club with exclusive views of the New Year’s Eve firework displays. DJs play great dance music and the Nordkettenbahnen lifts and cable cars run until 2.30 am for the trip back down into the valley.
