Winter Walk. Stiglreith -Rosskogelhütte

Head from Stiglreith along the road to the Sulzstich Restaurant (cabel-car mid-station). The new cable car can, also, naturally be used for this stretch. This winter walk heads from the restaurant along the toboggan run to the Rosskogelhütte alpine hut at 1,778m above sea level. This final section of the walk should take you about 35 minutes.

Winter Hike from Sulzstich to Rosskogelhütte

Take the Bergbahnen Oberperfuss gondolas up to the Sulzstich lift station at an altitude of 1,560 metres above sea level. From there, follow the path on your left. This joins the forest road and takes you directly to the Rosskogelhütte mountain hut. Watch out for oncoming tobogganers! This idyllic winter hiking route is an absolute highlight with stunning views and an exceptional panoramic view from the terrace of the Rosskogelhütte.

Wiesenweg 6 winter hiking trail

This wonderful winter hiking route with stunning views starts in the Kammerland district and takes you across snowy meadows to the edge of the woods before leading uphill along a section of the Haggenweg trail (watch out for tobogganers) and then left along the upper Wiesenweg route, across the Plörlwiesen meadows and back down to Kammerland.

Winter walk: Wildermieming & Untermieming

This route starts at the council offices in Wildermieming and heads up towards Affenhausen. From here, it's across the street at the western end of the village and along the road ploughed through the snow-covered fields to the Nothelferkapelle chapel and on to Untermieming. Continue through the village via Weidach to See, and at the western end of the hamlet take the steep path (Seegasse) up to Barwies. To get back, follow the signs towards Obermieming. This route passes Gasthof Post and the golf course, through the Brentesiedlung hamlet and back to the starting point in Wildermieming.

Winter walk to Gerhardhof

The starting point for this walk is at the Lehnbach car park in Obermieming. From here, it's south and downhill to the Josefskapelle chapel. The route follows the signposts for Wildermieming and passes the Pestkapelle (Chapel of the Black Death) before heading through the old village centre of Wildermieming. After the Annakapelle chapel, follow the signs towards Gerhardhof and, upon arrival, you can choose to go back via Unterfeld and the beautiful surrounding hamlets, once again passing the Annakapelle along the way back to Mieming.

Winter Walk to Stöttlalm

This walk goes from the Lehnbach car park and down to the Josefskapelle chapel. from here, follow the signs for the golf course and Wildermieming. At the golf course, a path goes through the forest and up to Stöttlalm alpine hut, which you should reach after 35 minutes. Descent is via a well-timbered path via the signs for Obermieming. When the snow is sufficient, this trail is great for tobogganing. The route takes you back to the car park.
